PCA National has updated helmet requirements.

Helmets with a printed manufacture date expire at the end of the 10th year from the year of manufacture. If you have an SA2015 helmet, it may be accepted longer than anticipated.

SA2015 helmets manufactured in 2015 (or do not have a date of manufacture sticker) have been granted an extension to June 30, 2026. Check your helmet’s sticker - you may not need to buy a new one just yet!. For example, if it was manufactured in 2019, it is allowed through 2029.

NCR and NER have adopted this change. Events run by other regions and organizations may have different rules. As always, refer to the event’s rules for accurate information.

If you have any questions, please email NCR’s DE Chair - de-chair@ncr-pca.org

For 2026

NCR and NER have adopted the same technical inspection requirements.

Aligned with the PCA National Minimum Standards, you must have your car inspected by an approved person or shop prior to an event. This Pre-Track inspection is valid for 120 days or 4 HPDE events. In addition, a Final inspection must be completed by you prior to each and every event.

These changes reduce the burden of technical inspection for our attendees without compromising the safety of PCA DE events. Ultimately, you are responsible for your car’s safety and condition. We encourage attendees who may not be comfortable conducting the Final inspection to continue bringing their car to their approved person or shop of choice.

The NCR/NER Tech Forms for 2026 can be found here.

It was two days of wet with some drying. Great for working on car control and finding the limit in the wet.

Sorry for the delay, It took a whole week for the prints to dry!
