The Rally Tour is a rain or shine event. Please plan accordingly.

In celebration of our great country’s 250 Anniversary, we have developed a bonus Summer Getaway that will take us into the Springfield area of Massachusetts in the historic town of Northampton, with a very unique connection to the State of New Hampshire. We will be staying at the Hotel Northampton Inn. The inn was built in 1927 as a focal point for the town. With the builder wanting to have a special experience for the folks, he traveled to Hopkinton, New Hampshire and purchased the 1796 Wiggins Tavern and moved it to his hotel for a great dining experience.

The hotel is located right in the downtown area within walking distance of a host of shops, cafes and dining restaurants. We will have our welcome dinner on Saturday evening dinner will be hosted at the hotel and Sunday dinner will be hosted within walking distance of the hotel.

For this event we will depart on Saturday, August 1^st from Milford, NH, Market Basket with a driving tour to our destination through a series of great roads throughout New Hampshire, Vermont and Massachusetts. We will arrive in the mid-afternoon to provide some time to roam the town for shopping and sightseeing.

For our adventures on Sunday, we have several options available for you. The main opportunity is for a guided tour of the Springfield Armory National Museum. This is a special place in American History but also a key demonstration in the industrial revolution and manufacturing techniques. Also located in Springfield is the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. Along with all the shops and stores around the hotel.

The plan is to travel to Springfield at 9:30 am, for a guided tour of the armory or the Basketball Hall of Fame around 10:00 am. We will then be on our own for lunch and all meet at the Basketball Hall of Fame for a short Driving Tour back to the hotel for dinner.

For this event, we will have a variety of rooms available. Each type of room is limited in total count. They have dual twin, queen and king size rooms for a total of approx. $460 for two nights, double occupancy. We have a 30-day cut off on the group rates ending on July 15, 2026. I would recommend that you reserve your room right after registering for our event. Please contact the Hotel Northampton using this phone number and mention the Chris Hegarty room block for our group rate and room block. Cancelation policy is listed on their web site and will be explained at time our reservations are made.

For Sunday evening dinner we will be hosted by TBD. This will be open seating and order off the menu.

We will hold our Drivers Meeting Saturday morning at the Market Basket in Milford. We will depart for our driving tour taking us through western New Hampshire and western Massachusetts arriving at the Hotel Northampton. Saturday lunch will be on your own in the vicinity of the Springfield Armory. We will regroup back at the Armory at 1:00 and depart for an epic journey back to the Hotel Northampton and dinner in the local area.

This Driving Tour will fill quickly as it is limited in space to ten and expect it to fill quickly, register soon to ensure your position. Once you register for the event, please complete your SpeedWaivers Quickly.

PCA still has not developed a method for SpeedWaviers for Minors, however we are going to work with the paper waivers for minors on this rally. We will be using the Paper Waiver “FOR MINORS AS OBSERVERS ONLY.”  A parent or legal Guardian must sign this waiver in front of us or have it witnessed prior and then the minor signs. This Waiver is available on the PCA web site and attached for your use.

Once you register and just prior to the event you will receive an e-mail package containing your driving instructions and the route map.  Please keep in mind these are general guidelines for our Rally Tour.  Due to changing weather, road construction and other events things could change.  The addresses for our break and lunch will be included.  If you get too lost, we can meet you at one of these locations.

Please notify the Driving Tour Chair or one of the leaders if you need to leave the event at any time.  If you leave the event at any time the PCA insurance stops.  The overall insurance starts when we leave after the drivers meeting and ends when we arrive for lunch.

If you have signed up for lunch or other activities, it is expected you will join us.  One of the greatest challenges for planning these events is finding a place that will host us for lunch. Hopefully you are reading the fine print. We commit to them the head count that you provided at registration, and they are planning their staff and income based on this number.

Please understand that if you register for this event you agree to stay at the host resort, agreeing to join the group dinners and understanding the cost associated with this.

Please note the details for the registration and what you registered for.  Please be respectful of our hosts, club members and timing for the events. If you register for the event, please be prepared to attend. If you need to cancel, (things do happen) please notify us so soon as possible. As much notice as you can provide gives us the opportunity to open your registration for another club member on the wait list. There may be costs incurred for cancelations for rooms and meals.
