Autocross, also known as Solo, is a sport that tests and sharpens your driving skills in a safe, controlled environment. A new course is set up for each event on a large, paved surface using soft rubber traffic pylons (that will not damage your car) to define a variety of turns and maneuvers. One driver at a time tries to negotiate the course in the lowest possible time. Speeds are normally between 40-65mph (most cars stay in second gear). Cars are grouped into classes based on performance potential and modifications. Autocross is a performance driving event and a safe way to learn how to drive your car at its limit. North Country Region Autocross rules are based on the PCA Parade Competition Rules (PCRs) for autocross. See 2023 PCA Parade Competition Rules. Note, however, that the NCR classes are different than the PCR defined classes.
