In celebration of our great co untry’s 250 Anniversary, we have developed a bonus Summer Getaway that will take us into the Springfield area of Massachusetts in the historic town of Northampton, with a very unique connection to the State of New Hampshire. We will be staying at the Hotel Northampton Inn. The inn was built in 1927 as a focal point for the town. With the builder wanting to have a special e xperience for the folks, he traveled to Hopkinton, New Hampshire and purcha sed the 1796 Wiggins Tavern and moved it to his hotel for a great dining ex perience.
The hotel is located right in the downtown area within walk ing distance of a host of shops, cafes and dining restaurants. We will have our welcome dinner on Saturday evening dinner will be hosted at the hotel and Sunday dinner will be hosted within walking distance of the hotel.
< p>For this event we will depart on Saturday, August 1st from Mil ford, NH, Market Basket with a driving tour to our destination through a se ries of great roads throughout New Hampshire, Vermont and Massachusetts. We will arrive in the mid-afternoon to provide some time to roam the town for shopping and sightseeing.For our adventures on Sunday, we have seve ral options available for you. The main opportunity is for a guided tour of the Springfield Armory National Museum. This is a special place in America n History but also a key demonstration in the industrial revolution and man ufacturing techniques. Also located in Springfield is the Naismith Basketba ll Hall of Fame. Along with all the shops and stores around the hotel.
< p>The plan is to travel to Springfield at 9:30 am, for a guided tour of the armory or the Basketball Hall of Fame around 10:00 am. We will then be on our own for lunch and all meet at the Basketball Hall of Fame for a short D riving Tour back to the hotel for dinner.Our host resort will be:

For this event, we will have a variety of rooms available. Each type of room is limited in total count. They have dual twin, queen and king size rooms for a total of approx. $460 for two n ights, double occupancy. We have a 30-day cut off on the group rates ending on July 15, 2026. I would recommend that you reserve your room right after registering for our event. Please contact the Hotel Northampton using this phone number and mention the Chris Hegarty room block for our group rate a nd room block. Cancelation policy is listed on their web site and will be e xplained at time our reservations are made.

For Sunday evening dinn er we will be hosted by TBD. This will be open seating and order off the me nu.
We will hold our Drivers Meeting Saturday morning at the Market B asket in Milford. We will depart for our driving tour taking us through wes tern New Hampshire and western Massachusetts arriving at the Hotel Northamp ton. Saturday lunch will be on your own in the vicinity of the Springfield Armory. We will regroup back at the Armory at 1:00 and depart for an epic j ourney back to the Hotel Northampton and dinner in the local area.
Th is Driving Tour will fill quickly as it is limited in space to ten and expe ct it to fill quickly, register soon to ensure your position. Once you register for the event, please complete your SpeedWaivers Quickly.
PCA still has not developed a method for SpeedWaviers fo r Minors, however we are going to work with the paper waivers for minors on this rally. We will be using the Paper Waiver “FOR MINORS AS OBSERVERS ONL Y.” A parent or legal Guardian must sign this waiver in front of us o r have it witnessed prior and then the minor signs. This Waiver is availabl e on the PCA web site and attached for your use.
Once you re gister and just prior to the event you will receive an e-mail package conta ining your driving instructions and the route map. Please keep in min d these are general guidelines for our Rally Tour. Due to changing we ather, road construction and other events things could change. The ad dresses for our break and lunch will be included. If you get too lost , we can meet you at one of these locations.
Please notify th e Driving Tour Chair or one of the leaders if you need to leave the event a t any time. If you leave the event at any time the PCA insur ance stops. The overall insurance starts when we leave after the driv ers meeting and ends when we arrive for lunch.
If you have si gned up for lunch or other activities, it is expected you will join us. One of the greatest challenges for planning these events is fin ding a place that will host us for lunch. Hopefully you are reading the fin e print. We commit to them the head count that you provided at registration , and they are planning their staff and income based on this number.
Please understand that if you register for this event you agree to stay at the host resort, agreeing to join the group dinners and understandi ng the cost associated with this.
