2021 NCR Spring Getaway Weekend -- Inside-Out Bar Harbor Tour -- June 5 - 7, 2021
Join lik e-minded Porsche enthusiasts on a tour from New Hampshire across Maine to t he rock-bound Atlantic coast with its scenic and gustatory delights. Our three-day getaway is timed to bring us to Bar Harbor on Mt Desert Islan d just prior to high season, so we should enjoy warming temperatures, minim al congestion, and easier access to the region's offerings. While the re you will have options for exploration (subject to COVID restrictions), i ncluding Acadia National Park; hiking or biking; photography; sailing; and carriage rides on 58 miles of Rockefeller’s woodland roads.
We call t his an “inside-out” tour because we will drive as a group to arrive at Bar Harbor, then leave it to you to explore the area on your own. Group d inners will provide opportunities to share discoveries and experiences.
Proper mask wearing is REQUIRED when outside your car. No Exceptions. If this requirement offends you, skip this event.

Registration is on MotorsportReg (MSR). No paper waiver forms will be used. Instead, we are using Spee dWaiver digital waiver credentials. Near the end of the MSR registrat ion process, you will have the opportunity to enter your mobile phone numbe r. This will initiate your SpeedWaiver. SpeedWaivers for additi onal adults in your car can be initiated at the link provided in your confi rmation message. At the present time, PCA has not approved Sp eedWaivers for Minors, so we cannot accommodate Minors at this event.
Schedule
Saturday: Gather at the Intervale Scenic Vista Visitors Center, 3654 White Mountain Hwy, North Conway, NH 03860 for waiver credential checking and the usual Drivers Meeting, then depart to drive to Bar Harbor. Yo u will be required to display your SpeedWaiver credential on your smartphon e.
Our route will take us over typical Maine river-valley roads to lunch in Waterville, then over a series of "roller coaster" roads towar d the coast. Upon arrival in Bar Harbor we check in at the Bar Harbor Inn & Spa in the center of town, close by the town pier, shops, and re staurants. We plan, of course, to socialize at a Welcome Dinner.
< p>Sunday: The day is yours to explore as you wish.&n bsp; Even if you have previously visited Acadia National Park, you may choo se to refresh the experience, or you might prefer a Windjammer Cruise or a drive up the coast to the Schoodic Peninsula where the less well known, les s visited portion of Acadia National Park offers scenery, hiking, and solit ude unique to the area. We cap off the day with a Group Dinner ... but note that space is limited to a total of 24 people. Othe r dining alternatives are close by.Monday: Af ter breakfast, attend the Drivers Meeting, display your digital SpeedWaiver Credential, and join the group drive down the coast to Camden, ME where ou r Getaway will end.
