CANCELED: Spring Getaway Weekend -- Inside-Out Bar Harbor Tour
Join li ke-minded Porsche enthusiasts on a tour from New Hampshire across Maine to the rock-bound Atlantic coast with its scenic and gustatory delights. Our three-day getaway is timed to bring us to Bar Harbor on Mt Desert Isla nd just prior to high season, so we will enjoy warming temperatures, minima l congestion, and easier access to the region's offerings. While ther e you will have options for exploration, including Acadia National Park; hi king or biking; photography; sailing; and carriage rides on 58 miles of Roc kefeller’s woodland roads.
We call this an “inside-out” tour because we will drive as a group to arrive at Bar Harbor, then leave it to you to e xplore the area on your own. Group dinners will provide opportunities to share discoveries and experiences.
Further area information will be sent to registered participants shortly before the event.
Schedule
Saturday: Gather at th e Intervale Scenic Overlook in North Conway, NH for the usual Waiver Signin g and Drivers Meeting, then depart to drive to Bar Harbor. Our route will take us over typical Maine river-valley roads to lunch in Waterville, then over a series of "roller coaster" roads toward the coast. Upon a rrival in Bar Harbor we check in at the Bar Harbor Inn & Spa in the cen ter of town, close by the town pier, shops, and restaurants. We plan, of course, to socialize at a Welcome Dinner.
Sunday: The day is yours to explore as you wish. Even if you have pre viously visited Acadia National Park, you may choose to refresh the experie nce, or you might prefer a Windjammer Cruise or a drive up the coast to the Schoodic Peninsula where the less well known, less visited portion of Acad ia National Park offers scenery, hiking, and solitude unique to the area.&n bsp;
Monday: After breakfast, sign Waivers and attend the Drivers Meeting for an excursion down the coast to Camden, ME f or lunch on the waterfront where our Getaway will end.

The Bar Harbor Inn & Spa, 1 New port Drive, Bar Harbor, Maine 04609, phone: (833) 224-8891 is our desi gnated hotel. It is centrally located and within walking distan ce of shops, restaurants, and waterfront attractions. A block of 20 r ooms at discounted rates ($199 – grounds-view rooms; $289 – ocean-view room s - per night plus tax) for a two-night stay has been arranged.
