Rally #5 - Fall Getaway - Rangeley & Mooselookmeguntic Lakes

Friday, 08 September 2017 - Sunday, 10 September 2017

The three-day NCR Fall Getaway for 2017 will include a drive on Saturday (9/9) of sinuous roads in the Rangeley and Mooselookmeguntic Lakes region and surrounding area, with curves, elevation changes, and scenic overlooks to delight the discerning Porsche enthusiast.  Lodging and fine dining will be deep in the woods beside pristine waters.  A block of discounted rooms is being held until 1 August at our Getaway hotel --- the Rangeley Inn & Tavern (https://www.therangeleyinn.com/) in Rangeley, ME.  To obtain the discount, telephone the Rangeley Inn (207-864-3341) and identify yourself as part of the "North Country Porsche Club".  ADDED NOTE:  Although the 1 August deadline has passed, the Inn still has rooms available, so it is not too late to join in.

The Inn provides an extensive Continental Breakfast (a selection of coffee and tea, juices, bagels, house made muffins or scones, house-made quiche or frittata, granola, fruit, and yogurt); those seeking a full hot breakfast will find it next door at the Mooseloop Cafe & Bakery.  Relax lakeside after your arrival on Friday, then enjoy dinner on your own or with friends at the Inn or other local establishments.

Following a mandatory 9:30 AM drivers and navigators meeting on Saturday, we commence with Porsches driving a circuit through the lakes region, with a lunch stop midway at Suds Pub in Bethel, ME.  Saturday will conclude with a group dinner at the Gingerbred House restaurant (http://www.gingerbreadhouserestaurant.net/) in Oquossoc, a short drive from the Rangeley Inn.

Further area details, regional information, and restaurant suggestions will be sent in advance by e-mail to registered participants, so it is important you use the RSVP button to provide names of those in your party who will join the fun.
