2017 Rally Updates
Our first three rallies of the 2017 season are open for registration on the NCR web site. Rally information is easy to find. Under the "Activities" tab select "Rallies and Rambles", then click on the bold text "Upcoming Rally Events" to see the rally event list. Click on any of the highlighted event titles to see detailed information. Another way to find the same information for events #1, #2, and #3 is to look at the May, June, and July months on the North Country calendar. Either way will lead you to descriptions and RSVP buttons to sign up. Or, just follow the links below.
Rally #1, Saturday May 20, will be a drive of scenic and sinuous roads of south-central Vermont. Beginning in Keene, NH, we will head west into Vermont along RT 9, then north on RT 100 to Ludlow, VT where we turn east to end with lunch at the Salt Hill Pub in Newport, NH. See this link for details and the RSVP button.
Rally #2, Friday-Sunday June 23-25, is our 3-day NCR Spring Getaway to the Catskill Mountains and Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome. An optional arrival dinner has been arranged for Friday evening by our Social Chair. After our Saturday morning driver's meeting at our Getaway hotel in Windham, NY, we will drive back roads through the Catskill Region of New York, following winding rivers and passing through hamlets such as Big Indian, Bull Run, and Peekamoose. Our drive will end at the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome for a late lunch and airshow featuring vintage aircraft. Reserved Porsche parking adjacent to the Aerodrome runway. After the airshow we will enjoy an evening of fine dining near our Getaway hotel. Our Getaway hotel is holding a block of 15 rooms for NCR members until May 15. See this link for details and the RSVP button.
Rally #3, Sunday July 23, starts at our assembly point in Hancock, NH for fun coursing through little-known small-town west-central New Hampshire. We’ll have the Saint-Gaudens National Historic Site in Cornish, NH as our goal, followed by an interesting late lunch at the Harpoon Brewery in an Artisans Village just across the border in Windsor, VT … accessed over a beautiful, long New England Covered Bridge. See this link for details and the RSVP button.
