Rally #3 - Saint-Gaudens National Historic Site Download as iCal file
Sunday, July 23, 2017, 10:00am

Come carouse with us for a leisurely Sunday, 23 July, coursing through little-known, small-town west-central New Hampshire.  We’ll have the Saint-Gaudens National Historic Site in Cornish, NH as our goal, followed by an interesting late lunch at an Artisans Village just across the border in Windsor, VT … accessed over a beautiful, long New England Covered Bridge.

We’ll start in Hancock, NH (just north of Peterborough) at the Hancock Fire Station (0.4 miles north on Route 137, going out of town center by the fountain at the intersection of routes 137/123; you may find that 40 Bennington Rd works best in your GPS).  We’ll follow interesting, Porsche-friendly, lightly-travelled roads through about 8 small NH towns into Cornish, where the stunning Saint-Gaudens National Historic Site awaits us.

Following our visit to this peaceful, historic site, we’ll find our way across the covered bridge to the nearby Artisans Village in Windsor, Vermont, where we’ll have lunch at the Harpoon Brewery/Harpoon Riverbend Taps & Beer Garden, situated in a nine-member artisanal “village” featuring Simon Pearce pottery and glassware, Blake Hill Preserves, Vermont Farmstead Cheese Company, Silo Distillery, and others.  Rally planning courtesy of Harv and Doreen Ames.
